Over 1,200 employees at the headquarters in Schwaz form the core of the Tyrolean success story. Tyrolit also sees infinite potential in its workforce. This assessment is comprehensive and closes a sustainable circle in the training of future-orientated junior staff within the company. As a multi-award-winning Tyrolean apprenticeship organisation and reliable employer, Tyrolit offers international future opportunities for young career starters in an exciting technological environment.
The Tyrolean family business utilises the opportunities that arise from the interaction between people and tools and passes on its expertise to the new generation. As one of the world's leading manufacturers of grinding and dressing tools and a system provider for the construction industry, Tyrolit has international industry experience that benefits the entire workforce – and a vision for the future with a stable basis for young talent.
Real personalities with rough edges?
Welcome to the team!
Tyrolit focuses on the future. The future of the industry and the future of the company structure. This future lies in the best possible training of the next generation in order to secure the company's innovative strength. The numerous current and former Tyrolit apprentices are an important part of the Schwaz headquarters. Motivated apprentices and a keen interest in innovation meet an international corporate environment with a strong focus on technology.
Investing in the future – this is where young talents benefit
A package has been put together for the training of young talents in the Tyrolit Group that speaks for itself with many qualitative and financial incentives. For example, Tyrolit covers the entire cost of driving licences for its apprentices and additional performance bonuses of up to € 2800 per apprenticeship year or offers up to 5 days special leave for performance-oriented apprentices. The Tyrolit Group focuses on technical apprenticeships such as
Metal technicians specialising in mechanical engineering
Electrical technicians specialising in plant and operating technology or
process technicians
The apprentices also receive support from their dedicated instructors, who pass on their practical and theoretical expertise and are always available as contact persons. There are 10 career options for a total of 40 apprentices to choose from, including the new apprenticeships in process technology or finance and accounting.
At Tyrolit, the company is giving a great deal of thought to the future and recognises what is needed. The working environment should also be modern and practical from the outset to ensure a motivated start. The new 350 m² training workshop will be built in 2024 and will provide positive support for everyday working life. An investment in future Tyrolit skilled workers – what better way to invest in the future?
From apprentice to career start with a guaranteed future
Apprentices trained at Tyrolit impress with an average grade of 1.8. This excellent performance at vocational school is proof of the extensive skills and industry knowledge of young Tyrolit talents. It is therefore not surprising that 75% of apprentices are taken on directly after their apprenticeship at Tyrolit.
Apprentice instructor and former Tyrolit apprentice Patrick Permoser is one such success story; he has been training apprentices at the company since 2018.
I was lucky enough to secure an apprenticeship as a mechanical engineering technician (now metal technician) at Tyrolit in 2009. After successfully completing my apprenticeship, I gained practical experience in internal maintenance. In 2016, I passed my master craftsman's examination, which allowed me to get involved in training apprentices two years later. I then took on the role of head of the training workshop. In September 2022, I completed my part-time qualification as a mechanical engineer. At the same time, I was given the opportunity to take on the position of Head of Apprentice Training and to manage the entire apprentice training programme at Tyrolit.
Tyrolit has been a state-awarded Tyrolean training company since 2002: "We hold the key to a successful future in our hands – together we can realise our potential!"
