The Swiss Marco Dätwyler Group runs a total of 12 businesses in various areas of the construction industry, ranging from concrete demolition to plumbing and heating installations. A company of this size requires a large inventory of machines, tools and vehicles. In order to manage this inventory optimally, the MDG Group has been relying on MoveSmart from Tyrolit since 2023.
MoveSmart is the digital platform solution for easy asset management. Whether for stock accounting, planning machine maintenance or for locating vehicles: MoveSmart simplifies asset management and makes it accessible at any time via cell phone or PC. All these advantages, as well as the fact that the platform is more innovative than comparable digital solutions, prompted the Marco Dätwyler Group from Switzerland to integrate MoveSmart into its companies.
Before MoveSmart, we had to manage dozens of Excel lists, forms and PDFs. The lists were not linked and had to be adapted manually. This was a great administrative effort, which is now considerably simplified with the help of the MoveSmart platform. We can display the inventories of our different companies and branches at a glance and the internal rental of machines can also be easily documented.
Personal support on site
Around 5,300 of the Group's operating resources are already integrated into the MoveSmart platform. The platform and the associated hardware are currently primarily used for asset management, site connections and the generation of inventory lists. “All internal allocations, the documentation of the history of the machines as well as our spare parts management are already done via MoveSmart. The personal support and training on how to optimally integrate the platform into our workflow confirms that Tyrolit is the right partner for the asset management of our company. The cooperation works really well and is very professional,” says Markus Käser, strategic purchaser at the MDG Group, enthusiastically.
When asked about tips on how to implement MoveSmart in a company, he and Ms. Dätwyler quickly agree: “We recommend - as in our case - a gradual introduction of MoveSmart. It is also essential to clean up the data base before importing it and to involve employees on time."
